Very soon we will be able to see Lynx in Portugal

Very soon, on 31 of December 2008, the Breeding Center of Iberian Lynx will be ready and it will be located on Silves, Algarve with a space of 150 hectares.

This project intends to reintroduce the Iberian Lynx that was extinct in Portugal and conserve the local animal population like the Bonelli Eagles.

The center will allow visits from the public in a very controlled formed, since the intention is for the Lynx to leave in the most natural habitat and therefore achieved breeding.
